The guys at Knafeh love theatrics, but it’s their sweet cheesy dessert that steals the show. 8. Kurtosh

One of the main attractions in Sydney’s vibrant Darling Quarter, Kurtosh is a great late night dessert haven is for sweet tooths. This casual cafe is famed for its namesake dessert, the Hungarian pastry Kürtőskalács, which is grilled to sweet crispy perfection in-house. We love the concept here where you order your dessert by the gram - this means you can have as much or as little as you like, and it’s easy to sample multiple desserts at once. Our go-to options here would have to be the super popular chocolate tiramisu, and the peanut butter slab with layers of creamy chocolate mousse.

Liquid dessert is definitely a thing, right? If you think so, then get yourself down to Xing Fu Tang in Sydney’s Chinatown for a milk tea that’s worth the trip. This Taiwanese tea chain is famous around the world for their brown sugar boba milk, a deliciously sweet drink which is worth the hype.

We don’t know what’s more exciting here - the bubbling pot of brown sugar, freshly made tapioca balls, the blowtorching of the brown sugar crust… or the fact that you can watch the whole process happening in front of your eyes. If you’re feeling extra special, you can gold leaf to your drink as well, which we think everyone should do at least once!
