Great Dragon Hotpot, Burwood - Review
We absolutely love hotpot - it’s the perfect activity for cold winter nights! We recently dined at Great Dragon Hotpot, a premium hotpot restaurant in Burwood.
Located conveniently on the main Burwood strip across the road from Westfield shopping centre, Great Dragon Hotpot is the perfect place for a special dinner with friends of family.
Walking into Great Dragon Hotpot, you’ll be greeted by stunning decor reminiscent of a traditional Chinese palace. The restaurant has two levels, complete with private dining booths and an awesome ambience.
We tried out Great Dragon’s new tom yum soup base, along with mushroom and spicy Sichuan soups. We definitely recommend ordering a mix of spicy and non-spicy broths for variety.
As for our hotpot dishes, we had a big group so we ordered a selection of plates, including the wagyu barbie, wagyu boat with strips and cubes of A5 marbled beef, spicy pork neck, fish, beef with milk, and mashed shrimp. We also tried some of the more interesting dishes on the menu like pig’s brain, duck tongue, dragon fruit paste and ox tail. Great Dragon Hotpot also has vegetable dishes and snacks for starters - there’s so many options to choose from! There is also a full condiment bar for you to make your own sauces.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here at Great Dragon Hotpot! We would definitely visit again for the premium quality and variety.
