Pepper Lunch, Sydney - Review

For a filling meal with a bit of DIY theatrics, try heading to Pepper Lunch In Sydney’s Town Hall area.

While you can find this restaurant chain all over Asia, Pepper Lunch has its origins in Japanese culture as an answer to fast-food steak. It’s not hard to see why it’s so popular across the globe - the meals are filling, and there’s novelty of cooking your own food on a personal hotplate!

Order your meal on the touch screens, and soon enough you’ll have a scorching hot meal sitting in front of you. It’s easy to get caught up in the commotion, but make sure you stir your meat quickly so it cooks! Whatever you do, don’t touch the hotplate - don’t need your fingers sizzling along with your meat.

Nothing beats their classic beef pepper rice plate, but recently we’ve been enjoying their curry beff/hamburger option as well. No matter what you order, the plates here are consistently filling and full flavour. Make sure to add the sweet soy and garlic sauces to your rice while it’s still sizzling for an extra flavour boost.
