Poke Bros, Cabramatta - Review

If you’re eating in Cabramatta, chances are you’ve probably got Vietnamese food in mind. But what about…. Hawaiian food?

Cue Poke Bros, a casual eatery in the heart of Cabramatta that serves up an Aussie take on the Hawaiian classic, poke. With a focus on delivering fresh and delicious food, the staff here know a thing or two about making a tasty bowl!

Poke Bros is a small shop on Hughes Street located conveniently across from Cabramatta station. Walking in, you’ll be greeted with modern shopfront with a lineup of fresh ingredients in the counter display. The restaurant has a few seats available inside, making it a great spot for a quick and easy meal or perfect for takeaway.

In terms of ordering a poke bowl, you can choose from several preset combos on the menu with fresh fish, chicken, beef and vegetarian options. Speaking to the staff, the most popular choices here are the Premium Salmon and Spicy Korean Chicken bowls. Or if you prefer, you can design your own bowl from scratch and customise it with Poke Bros’ full range of ingredients. They also serve drinks, snacks and spam musubi, which a Hawaiian take on Japanese nigiri-style sushi.

Even though it’s not particularly traditional, our absolute favourite here was the popular Spicy Korean Chicken bowl - customers get to choose their own sauce, so we opted for the wasabi mayo. With kimchi, cucumber, corn, pickled vegetables and sushi rice, the chicken bowl was full of flavour! The secret ingredient is cream cheese, which definitely brings everything together.

Overall, we’d recommend trying out Poke Bros if you’re in Southwest Sydney and looking for a meal that’s both filling and healthy. They are open for lunch and dinner, and have online delivery options for those in the local area.
