Ramen Zundo, Sydney - Review
Tucked down an alley in the World Square CBD complex, Ramen Zundo is a solid option for ramen if you’re in the Town Hall area of Sydney. We love the oh-so-Japanese wooden decor of this little restaurant, and their awesome lantern feature wall that reminds us of Mejiji Jingu Park in Tokyo.
Order at the counter, and your hearty bowl of ramen won’t take long to arrive. Our favourite item on the menu here would be the tonkostu ramen - the broth has a good flavour without being too salty, and the chasu pork has a deliciously sweet taste. The flavours here are on the lighter side of the ramen spectrum, so you can slurp down a whole bowl without feeling too heavy afterwards. At $15 a bowl, it’s reasonably priced, although if you want to add extra toppings it will start adding up pretty quickly.
Apart from ramen, Ramen Zundo also do other Japanese dishes like gyoza, karaage, rice bowls and noodles. It gets busy during the dinner time rush, so get in early to skip the queues! We wouldn’t recommend Ramen Zundo for an intimate meal - the staff start clearing the table as a soon as you’ve finished your last mouthful.
