Sydney’s Best Banh Mi
What’s not to love about a pork roll?! Here at Food Inbox, we’re always on the hunt for delicious Vietnamese banh mi. Check out some of our favourite banh mi places in Sydney!
Top Ryde Baker's House
Thanks to the power of social media, Top Ryde Baker’s House is fast becoming one of the most popular banh mi spots in Sydney. There’s usually a line here, so plan on visiting when you’re not in a rush. The staff definitely take their time making orders, but we have a feeling that’s part of the reason their rolls are so good. Patience is a virtue! As for the taste, we can confirm the hype for Top Ryde Baker’s House is real. The crackling in the crispy pork roll is super crispy, and the bbq pork has great flavour full of sweetness. At $9 per banh mi, the prices here at Top Ryde Baker’s House are a bit more expensive than your average bakery, but it's totally justified considering how big and filling the rolls are! Viet Hoa Hot Bread
With its bright yellow exterior and constant stream of customers, Viet Hoa Hot Bread is one of our top picks for satisfying banh mi cravings in Sydney's west. This local institution has been serving up classic Vietnamese pork rolls for years, and is truly an icon of Cabramatta. Infamously open 24/7, Viet Hoa Hot Bread is a local favourite for late a tasty night feed. A classic pork roll will set you back a measly $5, which is great value! Like most shops around the area, it's cash only. You can read more about Viet Hoa Bakery in our full review here.

Marrickville Pork Roll
Famous for their historical hole-in-the-wall location, Marrickville Pork Roll is a crowd favourite steeped in a rich history. Nowadays, Marrickville Pork Roll has two modern locations in Marrickville and Chinatown’s Darling Square. While the shopfronts are shiny and new, the team is still carrying on their legacy of churning out delicious banh mi to hungry customers.

Banh Mi Bay Ngo
Situated in the busy Bankstown City Plaza area, Banh Mi Bay Ngo has been voted Sydney's best banh mi by Good Food, and we can totally see why. Even with a line, the service here at Banh Mi Bay Ngo is fast and friendly. The ladies here are very generous with their fillings, and the ratio of meat to vegetables is higher than other Vietnamese bakeries around town. The vegetables are perfectly pickled, the mayo is super creamy, and the crispy pork is to die for!
