Rollers Bakehouse, Manly - Review
Tucked down a back alley just off the main Manly drag is a hidden gem known as Rollers Bakehouse.
Don’t be fooled by its location, this is one of Manly’s most popular cafes, and for good reason. Approaching Rollers Bakehouse, we immediately fell in love with bakery’s vibe. The minimalist open-air cafe mixes industrial and costal elements for a trendy eating experience. Bo and James, the owners of Rollers Bakehouse, have done an amazing job transforming a boring back street into foodie destination!
Rollers Bakehouse is known for their pastries, in particular their twice-cooked croissants, which are freshly baked on site everyday. We visited in the early afternoon after the lunchtime rush, so many of the crowd favourite were unfortunately sold out, however we managed to get our hands on one of their pavlova pastries. Think flakey pastry, balsamic strawberries, fruit compote, creamy marscapone and obligatory wafers of meringue perched on top. This was a unique take on the Australian classic that didn’t disappoint! It’s a bold claim, but we’d have to say this was one of the best pastries we have ever eaten, and we would happily order again.
Aside from delicious pastries, Rollers Bakehouse also serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, including coffee, juice and tea. They also sell pastry-themed merchandise which is unique and colourful!
If you’re visiting Manly, definitely put this cafe on your list of places to eat at. We’d recommend visiting early in the day, so you can pick from their full selection of delicious pastries.
